The Green Party needs people like you to help fight for a better future in London and beyond. Whether you want to take up key organising roles, can pitch in occasionally, or just want to show your support, there’s lots of ways to get involved that suit your capacity. Here’s how to play your part.

Our Membership Framework

We know everyone’s capacity to engage is different, so we’ve created a tiered structure to help you find your place in our movement. No matter where you start, you’ll have opportunities to learn, grow, and make a real impact: we want the most out of you!

Core Organisers

The backbone of the party. These are the most dedicated campaigners who on leadership roles and are the driving force behind local campaigns.

What they do:

  1. Manage local campaigns
  2. Lead local branches
  3. Train and organise others
  4. Take on day-to-day campaign operations, like speaking to voters, and data entry

Active Campaigners

Campaigners who contribute consistently to party activities, but with lower levels of intensity.

What they do:

  1. Regular door-knocking, phone banking, and running events
  2. Support local campaigns where needed
  3. Participate regularly in branch meeting and feed in to strategic discussions

Supporters

Supporters help out with major campaign events, like action days and rallies.

What they do:

  1. Canvassing and leafleting during action days
  2. Support for events and rallies

Our team will support you with political education. We are a small organisation so it’ll be largely informal. Don’t let a lack of previous organising experience stop you!
